Inspired by themes from nature and the spare designs of tile makers of the early 1900s, Gary Warkentin of Craven Manor Pottery creates handmade tiles in the tradition of the Arts and Crafts Movement. His earth tone, matte-finish glazes reflect the Craftsman style and a dedication to those traditional methods. Each tile is hand-pressed and individually glazed and is a unique expression of the artisan. Craven Manor Pottery is known for its tile series of stylized trees and its heirloom-quality frames and display stands, which also recall this period of hand work.
