Kirby William Brown

I am an enthusiastic collector and researcher of CALIFORNIA FAIENCE, WEST COAST PORCELAIN, THOMAS GOTHAM, and POTLATCH POTTERY. My grandfather was William Victor Bragdon, co-founder and long time owner of California Faience. I still have fond childhood memories of visits in his shop in Berkeley. Peter Monsour entrusted me to complete a book on California Faience and the project is almost complete. The book is planned to be out before February 2015. I will be Guest Curator of an exhibition at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento: "Of Cottages and Castles: The Art of California Faience" from February 22 to May 17, 2015.
